Plan overall operations - The key success of ERP |
 Through a series of articles on the ability to plan (KH) of the ERP system, the authors look forward to helping leading enterprises have access to and awareness is the ability to apply established KH - the ability of the core an ERP system - a tool to contact between strategy with daily operations of enterprises in the ERP system. Only when the well established KH, enterprises can find ERP helps save costs and enhance competitiveness.

Ability to KH's ERP system to create the difference between the ERP software (PM) accounting, inventory management, sales, and is one of the evaluation criteria most important when selecting, and also the biggest challenges when implementing ERP in Vietnam.
Over the 50 years of development, now in the ERP system has formed a series of tools to KH as basic forecasting sales (Sales Forecast), KH needs overall (MDS - Master Demand Schedule) , KH total production (MPS - Master Production Schedule), KH required raw materials (Material Requirement Planning - MRP), capable of the temporary (RCCP - Rough Cut Capacity Planning), KH capacity requirements (CRP -- Capacity Requirement Planning). Also some ERP systems have also advanced additional tools such as KH to management needs (Demand Management); KH linked sales and operations (S & OP - Sales and Operations Planning). Even, some ERP systems most advanced also provide technology and tools to exploit data and processed results for many different KH once known as supply chain KH (ASCP - Advanced Supply Chain Planning) .
Currently the ERP implementation in Vietnam, few enterprises evaluate
properly the importance of the ability to KH's ERP system. When I speak
to about 20 enterprises, learn about the ERP system has only one
customer asked to feature planning.

The linkages between the strategy of a company with the management of the ERP system is the tool to KH medium and long term as the management needs (Demand Management) and KH coordinated sales and operations (S & OP -- Sales and Operations Planning). Of this tool has not been fully implemented and used in Vietnam. The
reason may be because the leaders of enterprises have not set out
specific objectives to link the strategy of the company with the
application of the ERP. Besides the selection tool in KH medium and
long-term appropriate for their enterprises is a mathematical hammer
for enterprises because it requires knowledge outside of the technology
necessary knowledge and experience to evaluate the arts are programmed
in the tool to KH and to help adjust the KH up close to reality more.
